MidShore Meals til Monday would like to thank Lowe’s employee Cory Pitrone for, with the assistance of Store Manager Rick O’Neal, generously donating a freezer to MTM. Because Pitrone wanted to donate he freezer to feed hungry children, O’Neal was able to assist him in securing an excellent price. This gift has greatly helped MTM in its mission, now we have the ability to store and distribute frozen food, something which was not previously possible. This gift has already been installed in Vienna Elementary School and is being used to feed 350 Dorchester County children. However, there are still over 600 children in the county who do not have enough food to last them through the weekend. Through the generosity of people like Pitrone and O’Neal, MTM continues to work at closing this gap and ensuring that all children in Dorchester County have Meals til Monday.
